A sweet cup with fruity acidity, the body is sticky & rich, reminding us of Turkish delight. A long brown sugar aftertaste reveals hints of vanilla.
Passiflora is made up of 25 certified organic members of the AGPROCEM association located in and around the Montalvo district of Planadas. Emerging from the shadow of many years of armed conflict, this area of Planadas is home to traditional coffee production and agroforestry systems. Cedro Alto has helped implement and incentivize this small group to carry out extended in-cherry and anaerobic fermentation to create an intense fruity profile.

More info
Planadas has traditional coffee production and quite a few independent, member-owned associations. It exists to consolidate and market the harvests of its member farmers from the Vereda Montalvo of the Planadas municipality in the south of Tolima. It is led by one of its founders, Edinson Vaquiro, who grew up on a farm in Montalvo.
What puts AGPROCEM(Asociación De Agricultores y Productores de Café Especial de Montalvo) into a much smaller group is their focus on cup quality and environmental conservation. Many of the members are organic and/or fairtrade certified and all of their coffee plots feature native hardwood shade trees.
