Deliciously creamy and full of fresh fruit. This coffee starts with stewed strawberries, with a mix of fresh blueberry. This all comes together into creamy milk chocolate rounding off the cup.
Israel Degfa is a producer we’ve worked with for years. We feature a few coffees from the different washing stations he owns, and this lot is from Adola. Based in the Guji region of Ethiopia, Adola produces coffee from local smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to the washing station each day. Israel has managed to increase the proportion of higher-grade coffees that Adola produces, having really focused on quality and the systems in place to produce a clean cup.

More info
Once delivered to the washing station, cherries are hand sorted by mill workers before they’re put in flotation tanks to be covered in water. This is part of the process where defective cherries are removed before further processing – cherries that float need to be removed.
