Reminiscent of a pear upside-down cake, this coffee is full of sweetness. Delicate pear crumbles in the first sip, through to brown sugar and a cake like texture to finish.
Translating to ‘Morning Sun’ this lot represents small holders in the Taipiplaya region of Bolivia. Pedro Rodriguez who is responsible for Agricafe came to the aid of a group of small holder producers when their crops weren’t yielding enough coffee. After declining over the years, these producers needed assistance in turning their production around. Pedro was able to help improve not only yields, but also quality – having almost tripled their production over recent years, he has been able to bring these farms up to sustainable levels.
