This is our fourth year buying MUNYINYA HILL through our friends at Long Miles Coffee Project and Collaborative Coffee Source. The quality of this years’ harvest is as exceptional as ever.

Munyinya farmers believe that coffee is a lifeline for their families. Through coffee these farmers have been able to build houses, send their children to school and buy livestock.  Munyinya coffee used to fetch relatively low prices, however in 2012, the team at Long Miles Coffee Project opened its Bukeye washing station. This meant significant improvements in the processing and sorting of coffee, resulting in increased quality and profits.

In the future, Munyinya farmers aim to be more involved in the processing of their coffee and hope to build a community owned washing station. They also plan to set up community savings groups to help provide small loans for coffee farmers.
