The Arsosala washing station in the Guji region of Ethiopia, was founded in 2015. It processes coffee from 1200 local producers.

Traditionally, most Ethiopian coffee was traded through the Ethiopian Coffee Exchange (ECX). Unfortunately, the auction process of the ECX often means traceability of the coffee is lost, quality is compromised, and there is less transparency of what producers are paid.

This coffee was sourced via Café Imports, and export partner Haillesellaise. In 2018, licensed exporters like Haillesellaise were given the freedom to trade outside of the Ethiopian Coffee Exchange (ECX). This allows much greater transparency from bean to cup.
