Ethiosar Coffee Beans

Ethiosar is a hybrid variety developed in Costa Rica, bred by crossing Rume Sudan - an Ethiopian heirloom known for exceptional cup quality - with Sarchimor, itself a disease-resistant cross of Villa Sarchi and Timor. The result is a plant that combines the flavour potential of Ethiopian genetics with the agronomic resilience needed for commercial cultivation at altitude.

In the cup, Ethiosar typically shows the bright, complex character associated with its Ethiopian lineage - floral and fruit-forward, with good clarity. It remains relatively rare in the specialty market. We source it selectively when quality and provenance meet our standards.
