Apicuc Washed

The Apicuc Co-operative is based in the town of Hoja Blanca in Huehuetenango, on the border with Mexico. Founded in 2011, this small co-operative has 200 members with farms of around 5 hectares each, growing a mixture of well-proven varietals such as Caturra and Catuai.

Situated in the north of the Sierra Madre Mountain range, where it meets the Cuchumatanes range, the hot, dry winds across the border protect plants from frost, whilst the high altitude ensures slow maturation, which helps deliver the sweet cup profile you find here.
