The Centroamericano or H1 varietal is a Catimor, the result of a coffee breeding program to produce plants which are both easy to grow - with good production of fruit, disease resistant, tolerant of variable weather conditions - and produce good quality coffee. That quality is often not apparent at higher altitudes, but at the slightly lower altitudes of Finca Argentina this coffee really comes into it's own.
