Urnex Dezcal Activated Scale Remover

Overview

Dezcal™ Activated Scale Remover is specifically formulated to effectively descale hot water tanks and components of coffee and espresso machinery; by removing mineral deposits which clog and impair brewing equipment, Dezcal™ allows machines to perform at optimal levels. It can also be used to maintain faucets, sprayheads & milk systems.

It is available as a powder in a 900g tub.

Dezcal liquid is non-toxic, biodegradable and a safe liquid descaler. Dezcal powder is non-toxic, biodegradable and a safe powder descaler.

Dezcal Liquid Instructions

For use on Commercial Boilers and Heating Elements of Coffee and Espresso Equipment

1. Create a solution using 50ml Liquid Dezcal™ in 500ml hot water.  For other volumes, use 1:10 ratio of Liquid Dezcal™ to water
2. Add solution to the water reservoir
3. Hold solution in a vessel for up to 30 minutes
4. Rinse all parts thoroughly 

TIP: Liquid Dezcal™ is suitable for use by both professional technicians and home users alike. When used on commercial and "closed system" brewers (with a holding tank), special attention should be paid to rinsing.

Dezcal Powder Instructions

For use on Commercial Boilers and Heating Elements of Coffee and Espresso Equipment

1. Add 28g of powder per 500ml of lukewarm water
2. Stir to dissolve
3. Hold solution in vessel for up to 30 minutes
4. Rinse all parts thoroughly with fresh water
