This week on Passenger is one of our favourites – El Yalcon! A speciality coffee from Colombia, El Yalcon is produced by small scale growers in the municipality of La Plata. A balanced, washed process coffee, El Yalcon has a lively citrus-based acidity with notes of Lemon sherbet and Lime, finishing with dark chocolate.

We’ve signed a two-year purchasing contract with the farmers at El Yalcon to provide greater certainty for the producers and allow the team to reinvest in their farm and practices. We’re proud to say we’ve been buying from this region of Colombia for 3.5 years, and have directly impacted the lives of 450 farmers and their families in that time.
