Good & Proper House Matcha is a first-flush ceremonial-style matcha, shade-grown and stone-ground in Kyoto. Crafted by master blender Hiroshi Kobayashi, it's produced from a spring harvest selection and blended for consistency across batches. The flavour is sweet and grassy with a clean umami finish — bright in colour, smooth in texture.
Works well as a traditional whisked matcha, a hot or iced latte, in smoothies, or in baking. 100g per bag.

Is this ceremonial or culinary grade matcha?
House Matcha is a ceremonial-style Kyoto matcha, suitable for both traditional tea preparation and everyday lattes.
Does House Matcha contain caffeine?
Yes. Like all matcha, it contains naturally occurring caffeine alongside L-theanine.
How should I store matcha powder?
Keep it sealed in its packaging or an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. Use within 2–3 months of opening for best flavour.
What's the difference between matcha and regular green tea?
Matcha is made from shade-grown leaves that are stone-ground into a fine powder — you consume the whole leaf rather than just an infusion. This gives matcha its colour, umami flavour, and higher caffeine content relative to steeped green tea.
Can I use House Matcha for baking or smoothies?
Yes — it works well in smoothies, cakes, and desserts as well as lattes and traditional preparation.
