Their teas are carefully selected for both flavour and story, with a sourcing approach that goes beyond fair-trade: working directly with farms, co-operatives, and trusted suppliers across 13 regions. Every tea can be traced back to the people who grew it.
That same care extends into preparation. Good & Proper share our belief that great ingredients deserve great brewing, and they provide the knowledge and tools to help tea drinkers enjoy every cup. They’re also committed to sustainability, with a fully compostable, 100% plastic-free retail range that pairs minimal packaging with maximum respect for the environment.

Is this ceremonial or culinary grade matcha?
Our House Matcha is a ceremonial-style Kyoto matcha, ideal for both traditional tea preparation and everyday lattes.Does House Matcha contain caffeine?
Yes. Like all matcha, it contains naturally occurring caffeine, balanced by L-theanine for calm, sustained energy without the jitters. How should I store matcha powder?
Keep your matcha sealed in its packaging or an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. For best freshness, store in a cool, dark place and use within 2–3 months of opening. What’s the difference between matcha and regular green tea?
Matcha is made from shade-grown leaves that are stone-ground into a fine powder, so you consume the whole leaf rather than just an infusion. This gives matcha its vibrant colour, rich umami flavour, and higher antioxidant and caffeine content. Can I use House Matcha for baking or smoothies?
Yes! While it shines in lattes and traditional tea, House Matcha also works beautifully in smoothies, cakes, and desserts. -
