Whether you're cooling down or warming up, here's how to make the perfect hot or cold matcha latte at home.
You’ll Need
- 3g (about 1 tsp) Good & Proper House Matcha
- 30ml hot water (80°C)
- 200ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
- Whisk (bamboo or electric) or a small jar with a lid
- Optional: sweetener (like honey, maple syrup, or agave)
For an Iced Matcha Latte:
Sift the Matcha
Sift 3g of matcha into a bowl or cup to remove clumps.Add Hot Water
Pour in 30ml of hot (80°C) water.Whisk Until Smooth
Whisk in a zig-zag motion until frothy. No whisk? Shake it in a jar!Sweeten (Optional)
Stir in your sweetener of choice.Add Ice & Milk
Fill a glass with ice, pour in 200ml cold milk, then top with your matcha mix.Stir & Enjoy
Give it a swirl and sip away.For a Hot Matcha Latte:
Sift the Matcha
Sift 3g of matcha into your mug or bowl.Add Hot Water
Pour in 30ml of hot (80°C) water.Whisk Until Frothy
Whisk until smooth and slightly foamy.Heat Your Milk
Warm 200ml of milk until steaming, but not boiling.Sweeten (Optional)
Add sweetener to the milk or matcha, depending on your preference.Combine & Serve
Pour the steamed milk into your matcha, stir gently, and enjoy your cosy green cup. -
