The Secret Stash 2026
-
Since 2015 we've run something rather special behind the scenes, and we're delighted to be running it again throughout 2026.
Our Secret Stash subscription is for the adventurous coffee drinker - the kind of person who gets genuinely excited about trying something really different they've probably never tasted before. Our Green Buyer Roland scours the world for coffees that make him stop and pay attention: unexpected origins, experimental processing methods, rare varieties, and the kind of extraordinary lots that disappear almost as quickly as they arrive.
Throughout the year, you'll receive 12 coffees that are either too small to be listed on our website or, where we do have enough to offer them more widely, you'll get early access before anyone else. Every delivery comes with a newsletter from the team explaining exactly why we fell in love with that month's selection and why we think it's worthy of a place in The Secret Stash.
What kind of coffees can you expect?
Think exciting fermentations, experimental honey processes, heirloom varieties, and producers pushing the boundaries of what coffee can taste like. Many of these coffees come from farms and producers we've worked with for years - long-term relationships that give us first access to their most exciting experiments and limited releases. These aren't your everyday single origins, and we're not just picking up unusual lots on a whim from importers. They're coffees that spark conversations, the ones you'll want to share with friends (or secretly keep all to yourself).
Here's what we sent out in 2025:
- El Salvador: Llano Grande, Anaerobic Natural, Pacamara (gooseberry, cherry, chocolate)
- Thailand: Aoi & Nui Joisooksern, Anaerobic White Honey, Typica (speculoos biscuit, marmalade, green apple)

Limited to 200 subscribers
This year, we've reduced The Secret Stash from 300 spaces to just 200. This isn't a marketing gimmick - it reflects a real shift we're seeing in specialty coffee.
Climate change is reshaping coffee production around the world. Rising temperatures, unpredictable rainfall, and shifting growing conditions mean that the truly exceptional micro lots we seek out for The Secret Stash are becoming smaller and harder to source. Research suggests that land suitable for growing high-quality arabica coffee could decline by more than 50% by 2050, with major producing regions in Brazil, Colombia, and Central America already feeling the effects.
At the same time, coffee prices have surged to record highs - driven by drought conditions in Brazil's key arabica-growing regions, dwindling global stockpiles (ICE coffee inventories are at their lowest level in 18 months), and ongoing uncertainty around FX, tariffs and supply chains. We've written more about the causes and what it means for the industry on our journal so if you'd like to learn more, please click here.
For producers crafting the kind of experimental, small-batch coffees we love, this translates to smaller harvests and tighter availability. By reducing our subscriber numbers, we can continue to bring you the most exciting coffees we find (coffees that often yield less than 1 full sack) without compromising on quality or missing out on those rare gems entirely.

If you're located outside the UK, please get in touch with us via the form here to place an order. Since the UK left the EU, international deliveries have become tricky and our website isn't quite clever enough to deal with things, so a human touch is needed.

The first bag of the subscription will be roasted and posted during the week commencing January 5th, 2026.
All subsequent bags will be roasted and posted during the final week of each month with the aim of them arriving with you during the first calendar week of the next month.
If you order this subscription with any other items, The Secret Stash portion will be held until January 2026 and any other items will be dispatched separately.
All Secret Stash coffees will be sent out in our kraft paper mailers which are fully recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable. Our coffee bags are LDPE4 recyclable soft plastic. For more information, please click here.
Coffees featured on The Secret Stash will either be exclusive to The Secret Stash – where we source lots specifically for this subscription – or, when we feature slightly larger lots, you'll receive your bag before we launch it publicly on our website. Most bags will contain a 220g measure, but there will occasionally be smaller measures (e.g. 200g or 125g) when lots are particularly limited. And when lots are that small, you can be sure they're going to be particularly amazing.
If you're within the United Kingdom, Royal Mail Tracked 48 Large Letter postage is included in the price. If you live elsewhere in the world, there will be an additional fee to cover what Royal Mail charges us for international postage.
If you're outside the United Kingdom and place an order without contacting us first (as requested above), we will be in touch to arrange for the extra fees to be paid, or for the order to be cancelled and refunded. Please contact us before ordering.
If you're not offered a shipping rate, please get in touch with us here.
If you want to order more than one subscription, that's totally cool. Please get in touch with us here as we can sort everything over email really easily.
Orders will be marked as fulfilled throughout the end of 2025 to keep things tidy behind the scenes, so please don't be alarmed if you receive a shipping notification before January. You will be sent a newsletter when the first coffee is sent out in January.
Question not answered above? Sorry about that 🙁 Please get in touch with us here and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can!
