Introducing Our Pride Coffee Collab With Wednesday Holmes

This year’s Pride Edition coffee is here, and it’s bursting with colour, creativity, and meaning. We’ve teamed up with the brilliant Wednesday Holmes (they/them) - a UK-based non-binary artist, illustrator, writer, and community advocate to create a limited-edition label that radiates queer joy and self-expression.

If Wednesday’s name sounds familiar, you’ve probably seen their bold, uplifting work in places like Gucci campaigns, Google, Disney, or the V&A Museum. But beyond the big names, what makes Wednesday’s art truly special is the heart behind it - their unwavering commitment to championing LGBTQ+ voices, mental health awareness, and community care. Every piece they create feels like a warm, colourful embrace, and this Pride collaboration is no exception.

In Wednesday’s own words:

“Inclusivity, visually, is always important to me. I wanted to create something vibrant, full of life, and encapsulates community. Through my work, I like to focus on the LGBTQ+ community - on our strengths, resilience, and the issues we still face. It’s important that these things are visualised in everyday items around us.”

The coffee: A vibrant single-origin from Brazil

This year’s Pride Edition isn’t just about the label - the coffee itself is just as bold and exciting. We’re proud to feature a stunning single-origin from Fazenda Inglaterra in Brazil, a country known for its rich coffee heritage and its powerful Pride celebrations.

Owned by our longtime friend Stephen Hurst, Fazenda Inglaterra has been part of our journey for over 10 years. Stephen’s story is a beautiful one - from reviving abandoned coffee trees on land once called Toca Da Onça (“hiding place of a small wildcat”) to carefully replanting and protecting the farm’s surrounding Mata Atlântica forest, his work is all about care, resilience, and respect for the land.

The cup? Expect a classic Brazilian profile, full of sultanas, alongside dates and a dusting of sugary sweetness. Hazelnut and biscuit notes in the background add depth and linger onto the aftertaste, creating a balanced, comforting brew you’ll keep coming back to.

Supporting akt: Because Pride is more than a month

We’re honoured to once again partner with akt, a UK charity that supports LGBTQ+ young people who are homeless or living in unsafe environments. For every bag sold, we’re donating 50p directly to akt - helping provide safe housing, emotional support, and a path forward for young people who need it most.

This cause is close to Wednesday’s heart, too:

“I’ve worked with akt a few times now. They challenge the systems that cause LGBTQ+ youth to become unhoused - something especially urgent in today’s political climate. It’s so important we support initiatives like this, especially because it affects some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.”

With 24% of young homeless people identifying as LGBTQ+, this work is more urgent than ever.

This Pride coffee goes beyond a limited release - it’s a meaningful celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and the work still needed to uplift and support it. Every sip helps drive change and show solidarity.

Thank you for being part of this with us. We hope you love it.
