This week's coffee is from Burundi. With more than a third of its exports coming from coffee, buying Burundian coffee really makes a difference. For a small country, it packs a punch in flavour. You’ll find a lot of fruit in this cup, which people often compare to its neighbour Rwanda. This lot has been naturally processed and dried on raised beds at the Cafex mill, who’s impact in the region has been positive. Having created a lot of jobs, and focused on getting money into the hands of workers, their impact has really lifted the local community and allowed coffees like these to be produced.
