Why is the AeroPress Go the better travel press?

    • Tastier: It brews smooth, rich coffee without the bitterness and high acidity you can expect from French press brewed coffee.
    • Fast and easy: The AeroPress Go brews hot coffee in about 1 minute or cold brew coffee in around 2 minutes.
    • Compact, lightweight, and durable: Ingeniously engineered to ensure that everything fits inside the mug.
    • Perfect everywhere you brewing which isn't at home: whether you're camping, backpacking, living the #vanlife, jet-setting off into the sunset, or just heading to the office - the AeroPress Go will make sure you're enjoying well brewed, delicious specialty coffee.

*Quite a while ago now, AeroPress released a newer seal and it's made of silicone instead of the older rubber versions. Silicone is the most common soft material found in the kitchen (think spatula). Silicones are primarily made of the elements silicon, oxygen, and carbon. Silicone is not at all chemically like natural rubber or synthetic rubber.

It is possible for the seal area to smell like stale coffee. We recommend AeroPress users remove the seal from the end of the plunger once a month or so to thoroughly clean all sides of the seal.

    • Dimensions: 5.3” x 3.9” x 3.9”
    • Included travel cup: 444ml capacity

  • The AeroPress was invented in 2005 by Alan Adler, a Stanford University engineering lecturer and lifelong inventor known for his precision-driven designs. Frustrated by the bitterness and inconsistency of traditional coffee makers, Adler set out to create a better way to brew a single cup of coffee.

He began experimenting in his garage in 2004, studying how variables like water temperature, brew time, and pressure affect flavour. After more than 30 prototypes, Adler unveiled the AeroPress at CoffeeFest Seattle in 2005.

The result was a revolutionary coffee maker that used air pressure to extract rich, smooth coffee with low acidity and no sediment. Its unique design quickly gained a cult following among coffee enthusiasts, baristas, and travellers alike.

Over the years, the AeroPress has evolved into a global phenomenon, inspiring innovations like the AeroPress Go, AeroPress Clear, and now the AeroPress XL. It even sparked the creation of the World AeroPress Championship, a global competition celebrating creativity in coffee brewing.
