  • The Duo Temp Pro is Sage's entry point into serious home espresso — a semi-automatic machine with commercial-style features at a price that suits most home setups. It's a good fit for anyone moving on from pod machines or capsule systems and ready to develop their technique with fresh-ground coffee.

    At its core is a 1600W Thermocoil heating system with PID temperature control, which brings the brew head to the correct temperature quickly and keeps it stable throughout extraction. Low-pressure pre-infusion at the start of each shot helps even out the extraction across the puck — particularly useful when you're still dialling in your grind. The 54mm stainless steel portafilter is a commercial-style basket size, compatible with a range of third-party accessories if you want to upgrade later.

    Milk texturing is done manually via the steam wand. There's no automated frothing system — which means a learning curve, but also full control over texture. It produces good microfoam for flat whites and lattes with some practice.

    The machine ships with a useful starter kit: a 54mm portafilter, single and dual wall filter baskets (pressurised and non-pressurised), a stainless steel milk jug, the Razor dose trimming tool, and a water filter. The dual wall (pressurised) baskets are handy while you're learning; once your grind consistency is reliable, the single wall baskets give you more feedback and better results.
