SCA Coffee Courses & Training


Ozone Coffee offers a full range of SCA-accredited coffee training courses in London, from introductory Foundation modules through to Professional certification. Whether you're new to specialty coffee or working towards a career in the industry, our training programme covers Barista Skills, Brewing, and Sensory Skills at every level.

All courses are delivered at our London training facility by experienced trainers, following the SCA curriculum. Foundation courses are suitable for beginners and run as single-day sessions. Intermediate and Professional courses are designed for those already working in coffee who want to formalise their skills or progress into more technical roles.

Not sure which course to start with? The SCA Barista Skills Foundation is the most common entry point. For those focused on filter brewing and manual methods, the SCA Brewing Foundation covers a wide range of devices and techniques. If you're interested in tasting and evaluation, the SCA Sensory Skills Foundation is a strong standalone option.

  • The Brewing Foundation course introduces the learner to the different methods of brewing coffee. The learner will receive theoretical and practical hands-on instruction for a range of devices including automatic and manual gravity brewers, as well as other commonly used brewers.

  • The Barista Skills Professional course is designed to test advanced skills and detailed knowledge of the science behind processes used by a professional barista (for example, a barista with 12 months or more of work experience). Successful candidates will have explored and demonstrated advanced skills.
