Cold Brew Brew Guide
How to Make Cold Brew Coffee at Home
Cold brew coffee has transformed how we enjoy coffee - especially during warmer months. Unlike iced coffee, which is brewed hot and then chilled, cold brew is made using cold water from start to finish. The result? A naturally sweet, smooth, and low-acidity coffee concentrate that’s perfect over ice, with milk, or even in cocktails.
Whether you're new to cold brew or looking to perfect your method, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know. -
Cold Brew Martini
Shake things up with our signature Ozone Cold Brew Martini recipe!
The Cold Brew Martini is a refreshing, modern take on the classic Espresso Martini. Using cold brew instead of espresso gives it a smoother, less acidic profile - perfect for coffee lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike.
We caught up with Joel Whitall, our Wholesale Business Development Executive and 2024 UK Coffee in Good Spirits finalist, who generously shared his go-to Cold Brew Martini recipe.

What’s the best grind size for cold brew?
A. Coarse, like breadcrumbs or sea salt. Too fine and it may over-extract and taste bitter.
-
Can I use espresso blends for cold brew?
A. Yes! Espresso blends often work well because of their typically bold, chocolatey notes.
-
How long does cold brew last?
A. We recommend up to a week in the fridge. Store in an airtight container for optimal freshness.
-
What’s the difference between flash brew and cold brew?
A. Flash brew uses hot water and is brewed directly over ice, preserving acidity and aroma. Cold brew is steeped in cold water for 12–24 hours, resulting in a smoother, less acidic cup.
-
Can I make cold brew with a French press?
A. Absolutely! A French press is one of the easiest ways to make cold brew at home. Just add coarse ground coffee and cold water, stir, steep in the fridge for 12–18 hours, then press and pour.
-
Does cold brew have more caffeine than regular coffee?
A. Cold brew concentrate can have more caffeine per ounce, but it’s usually diluted before drinking. The final caffeine content depends on your brew ratio and how you serve it.
